Anti-wrinkle treatments

A strictly consultation only treatment

What are wrinkle relaxers?

Wrinkle relaxers are a prescription medication (POM) using a Botulinum Toxin such as Botox® and Azzalure®.

The treatment requires at least a one hour consultation for explanation of facial anatomy, complications and expectations.

You must have trust in your Aesthetician.

Wrinkle relaxing is not a one stop treatment. You MUST attend a 2 week review for completion.

There is always a risk of bruising.

The frozen look is down to client expectations. Results can be very subtle.

Advanced relaxing techniques carried out by fully trained professionals include:

What is Hyperhidrosis?

Hyperhidrosis is a term for excess sweating and is treated with injections of botulinum toxin. This is an FDA-approved medicine that’s a muscle relaxant. Toxin is injected into the skin to treat areas of the body affected: around 15-20 injections are given into the armpits, hands or feet during the procedure.

You may need to repeat treatment for sweating approximately every 3-4 months. Your medical practitioner will give you all the advice you need.

Many people find their procedure more comfortable than expected. That’s because our medical practitioners are so highly skilled and precise. The injection procedure is simple to perform: you should merely feel a mild sting on your skin. Cokely Aesthetics Bristol offer a free consultation

What is Bruxism?

Bruxism is the medical term for teeth grinding and is typically accompanied by the clenching of the jaw. Bruxism is an oral condition that occurs in many people at some time in their lives. However it is not considered a health problem in most cases, often being a relatively mild and intermittent condition.

While bruxism may be a day or night activity, it is commonly recognised as a sleep disorder as it is during sleep that the majority of health issues can be caused.

Botox treatments have been shown to alleviate bruxism, the condition more commonly known as teeth grinding. Botox teeth grinding treatment works by relaxing the jaw muscle sufficiently to reduce grinding symptoms while maintaining normal jaw and teeth action.
